Is your student loving Kodable so much that they are looking for ways to play at home? If so, continue reading this article to learn all the information you need to get your student set up to play from home!
Login with a Class Code
One way to play Kodable at home is by using your student's class code. This is the easiest and most user-friendly method to get your student set up to play at home! Follow the steps below to use this option to sign in.
First, either open up the Kodable app or click here to login. You will see this screen to login.
Next, you will want to select the "Play at School" button. This is a very important step! In order to use your students class code, you must select the "Play at School" option. Nothing about the game is different by selecting this option, it's just an easier way for students to login at home.
After selecting "Play at School" you will now see a screen to enter in your students class code. In the example below I've already typed in zoeylovescode. Select, "Go!" after doing this.
Next, your student will need to find their name in their class list. Once finding their name click the play button and your student can begin coding at home!
Note: Your students teacher may have picture or text passwords set up. In this case have your student select their picture password or enter in their text password. If your student doesn't know their picture or text password, please reach out to their teacher.
Where do I find my student's class code?
Don't have a class code? No problem! There are two super simple ways to locate it. The first is by asking your student's teacher for the class code. This is located within their teacher dashboard. The second way is within the actual Kodable game. We have recently added a class code banner at the top of the game. If student's are playing at school they can write down their class code to then enter at home to play. In the example below, you can see the play at home with your class code banner at the top of the screen and my class code in orange text.
Login with a Parent Code
Another option is to use your student's parent code to sign in. To use this method follow the steps below. Note: With this method you will need to set up a parent account with your email address.
First, either open up the Kodable app or click here to login. You will see this screen to login.
Select the "Play at Home" option. You will be prompted to create an account when you use this method. You will select the "Register now!" button
Next, you will see the option to join with a parent code. Click the blue box.
This will open up to a screen where you can enter in your students parent code!
Where do I find my student's parent code?
Don't have a parent code? No problem! You can reach out to your child's teacher for their parent code. This is located within their teacher dashboard.
